Sup peoplessss? Charlotte and Ranveer here and you guessed it, we are gunna be talking to you about Day 3 of our little adventures in Barcelona.
In fact, our third day in the city probably was the most adventurous. We started off by journeying to the Sagrada Familia - also known as Spain's famously incomplete yet stunning cathedral - and skipping the hours of queues with the use of a personal tour guide. What made it even better was that to get there, we went on the metro from the station "Paral.lel" to "Diagonal". Get it? Oh we are soooo sad lol. xD
Anyway, the Sagrada Familia really was beautiful. The guide told us how the architect, Gaudi, had designed it around nature. He explained the intricacies of the symbolism in the cathedral, detailing how every animal carved into the walls represented something different and the way in which Gaudi had ensured the cathedral would be constructed in a way such that the Sun's orbit would circle around the church perfectly instead of going over the top; it meant that no matter what time of day it was, there would be natural lighting until the Sun set completely.
After that, it was definitely time for lunch. Like seriously, we were starving. xD Luckily we found the Pizza Emporium, which had vegetarian food (not just pizza but pasta mmm) !!! Exciting times for us considering we had been practically living on snacks so far. So we kinda ate quiiiite a bit hehe.
Once we were full and finished with our food we decided to get tickets for one of the bus tours that goes around Barcelona. Having bought our tickets we joined the queue to get on to the bus and waited there for... well, I want to say 5 minutes butttt if I'm being completely honest it was more like 10... before realising we were in a queue for a different bus tour. OOPS! xD So we quickly changed lines and tried to act casual about it, and eventually hopped onto the RIGHT bus.
The bus took us around the city and we got off it a few times to check out some of the sights. We went to some gardens, which were very pretty, but Ranveer had a bit too much fun when we came across some statues inside them and she tried to copy their... interesting... poses.
Oh, and she also hid in some bushes and swung around a pole. Naughty girl. -.-
From there, it was a relatively short walk to FC Barcelona's Stadium, which was a must-see for us considering our group had long since decided that our team name for this holiday would be "the seven wives of Neymar Jr". :3 Also... The stadium had a Ben and Jerry's ok, 'nuff said. We NEEDED that cookie dough.
Our final stop was perhaps the most beautiful. Overlooking not only the magic fountain but the whole of the city. Uh-may-zinggg.
We could've stayed there for so long just staring out at the view, but sadly we had to drag our reluctant selves away and walk back to the apartment. It was quite a long trek but our (mostly Ranveer's) map reading skills were totally on point.
After crashing for a while in our room, we decided it was time to eat once again. Butttt we kinda had no food left, so we had to settle for billions of Burger King mozzarella sticks and some chips. Seriously, it felt like we did have billions of those things and I don't think I will be eating any more mozzarella sticks for a long time to come. Even the words "mozzarella sticks" are making me shudder a bit. So I'm gunna stop saying it now.
After eating all that fast food though, we felt like we had to burn some energy off. And that meant jumping around on the bed like lunatics, with me (Charlotte) being violently attacked by Ranveer with a pillow to the face. :'(
So as I'm practically knocked out, we shall leave it there and we will see you tomorrow to talk about our final day. Peace out, adios, laterssss!!! ;) xxx
